Basically, the premise is that the world is a complex place the challenges that we Face these days require more in-depth more systemic approach to investigate understand and build solutions for sustainable future in this course, we’ll be going deeper into aspects such as reductionist thinking versus holistic thinking the importance of thinking in scales and different dimensions and how you can apply them in a practical way.

We’ll be looking at how you can set systemic goals Analyze complex systems and develop transition road maps to go from where we are today to where we want to go tomorrow the tools that we’ll be using in the course will include things like of course systems thinking but also complexity analysis iterative design thinking and transition Theory will be using it in a co-creation format that encourages you to work with multidisciplinary teams, but you can also apply it just by yourself. We’ve tried to make this Horses exciting as possible for you. There’s many different videos like this one, of course of several different Educators, you’ll be going into a dialogue with the other Learners that are doing the course.

Then in week two we will be really diving into complex systems thinking and it’s Theory may be looking at the difference between a reductionistic and holistic thinking also called top-down or bottom-up their codependency and why both are important when you’re investigating complex system and week 3 will be going to look at how you can plan a project in the spirit of systemic sustainability. What steps do you go through what aspects are important for each step including Things like goal setting system mapping and building a road map. Good luck with the course. If you have any questions, please leave them down in the comments and myself included and our other educators will be answering them along the way.

Tom founded Except at the age of 19 in 1999. His vision was to find systemic solutions for our societal challenges by combining science, business, design, and communication.
