Reflecting on this week and looking forward to next week.
Love to learn written on a wall

Congratulations for completing week 2 of Solving Sustainability Challenges with Te Ao Māori.

This week we have defined the challenge by understanding the different perspectives.

We have then ideated and come up with multiple ideas which might help the Waikato Awa more swimmable. This has resulted in two being prototyped and now we are ready for user testing.

We will reflect on the second week the same as the first week using a bicultural approach, asking three questions where you can answer one in the comments.

The reflection questions revolve around three Māori principles;

Aro: Observations Ako: Lessons Āta: Application

Task

Reflect on the second week by reflecting on the following 3 questions.

  • What observations can you make about biculturalism in Aotearoa, New Zealand? What has interested you, or challenged you about what you have seen so far?
  • What was the biggest lesson you can take from this first week? What is one lesson you believe you could teach us?
  • What is one simple lesson you could apply to any future discussions relating to sustainability?

Choose one question to answer in the comments section below.
