Wrap up of course

Thanks for being part of the course

Congratulations. Over the last 3 weeks we have learnt about the importance of a bicultural perspective when problem solving. We have applied a Design Thinking process, learnt about biculturalism in Aotearoa, New Zealand, in particular Te Ao Māori and water resources here in New Zealand.

Over these 3 weeks, I hope that you have seen the power that a bicultural (multicultural) perspective can have and the importance of hearing from th erange of perspectives of our resources.

To recap our learning outcomes:

  • Examine a sustainability issue from a bicultural perspective
  • Apply the Design Thinking model to local cultural contexts
  • Discuss Matauranga Māori and link it to your indigenous perspective

We have investigated our precious water resource. Applying a Design Thinking model that can be adapted according to any culture. And we have discussed Matauranga Māori throughout and linked it with Aotearoa, New Zealand as well as the world. We have reflected throughout the process and I hope that you have had the time to embrace the different points of view and the value that every perspective has to offer.

I hope you enjoyed this course and we hope that we have the chance to meet once again.
