Exploring waste

Watch this video to see how a simple demonstration involving the food wasted in school lunches can make a strong case for reducing waste.

In the second of our two sustainability examples, watch our case study school demonstrate how a concept like waste can be experienced by children, not just learned. If children are involved in measuring waste themselves, recycling and composting, they quickly get a sense of how much of the inherent value in something is being lost.

And if children feel empowered, they will come up with the solutions!
