Exploring waste

Watch this video to see how a simple demonstration involving the food wasted in school lunches can make a strong case for reducing waste.

In the second of our two sustainability examples, watch our case study school demonstrate how a concept like waste can be experienced by children, not just learned. If children are involved in measuring waste themselves, recycling and composting, they quickly get a sense of how much of the inherent value in something is being lost.

And if children feel empowered, they will come up with the solutions!

Your attitude makes children safe. If you view children as vulnerable then they always will be. If you view them as competent they will be.
