Who will you be learning with?

Paola DE BERNARDI is a Professor of Circular Economy and Management Control and Performance Measurement Systems at the University of Turin, Department of Management. Paola’s work explores the role of entrepreneurship and innovation on sustainable and circular business model innovation. She worked on research projects related to Industry 4.0: Food Digital Monitoring (FDM) and Hierarchical Open Manufacturing Europe (HOME). She participates in the Smart Circular Procurement (CirPRO), Interreg Europe project, and she is the coordinator of several EIT Food educational programs on behalf of the University of Turin. She is engaged in mentoring start-up or pre-seed programs in Deloitte Foodtech Accelerator and EIT Food Accelerator Network. She is the supervisor of the Food Management Lab of the Department of Management, co-founder of the Smart Commons Lab, and a member of the Italian Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ICESP).

Simona GRANDE believes in the power of experiential learning as a driver for positive change. She is a researcher in the Department of Management of the University of Turin in the fields of Innovation, Organizational Behaviour, and Circular Economy. With a background in International Management and Food Innovation, in her professional experience, she worked in China as a consultant, in India with Ashoka, and in South Africa and Mexico as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Summer School.

Canio FORLIANO has a PhD in “Systems Dynamics” modelling for improving the performance of the public sector, with a keen focus on universities and innovation ecosystems. In doing so, he has been part of the Italian national research group regarding public universities’ governance and performance. As a researcher at the Department of Management, University of Turin, he has specialised in the intersection between Managerial Accounting and Sustainability Management. In doing so, he has blended traditional teaching methods with the creative, hands-on, and collaborative model of hackathons and other entrepreneurial programmes.
