One of the things that’s important for us to know as humans is that we have thoughts and feelings and ideas, but we’re here in a physical body and we develop in a way that our brains, neuroscience is telling us, mirror society around us and mirror the experiences that we’ve had. So we think thoughts, but those thoughts actually have physical structures behind them. This next video allows us to take a moment and to center ourselves into our physical being, and it’s been prepared by one of our faculty, Banafsheh Sayyad. We hope that you’ll stand up wherever you are if you’re taking this course in your home or your office.

Go ahead and stand up and follow along with Banafsheh as she takes you through some of the key components of embodiment so that you can begin to feel really connected to yourself, to the Earth and to how you are in the world.

This week will focus on the fact that corporations and businesses, particularly in the high-tech sector, are very focused on ensuring their employees are mentally, emotionally and physically healthy.

Many of them have healthy foods in their cafeterias, and encourage their employees to exercise and stay physically fit. Exercise increases overall productivity, reduces stress, increases mental clarity, and improves overall satisfaction with life in general.
