So I think you’ve noticed that as we’re moving through the content, we’re just giving you the real highlights and short snippets of things that you need to pay attention to. Our hope is that as you hear about things that you’re interested in, you’ll find out more about these topics as you go through your day and as you watch for magazine articles or for videos or for information that you hear about these global trends. The two that we want to focus on, that we think are really important for you to pay attention to are the Fourth Industrial Revolution. And we have a video from the World Economic Forum that really puts these changes into context.

So we hope you enjoy watching that one. And the second one is a video about a group that has gotten together, that is providing statistics about the Global Youth Wellbeing Index. They’re taking information from different countries around the world and rating how youth, eighteen to twenty-four, are faring in different countries. It’s an open informational resource and maybe your country is listed that has a lot of interesting information about trends that are affecting you as young people and that older folks like myself need to continue to pay attention to.

So we hope you enjoy these next two videos, one on the fourth Industrial Revolution, one on the Global Youth Wellbeing Index, and that you take these to heart and do some more research on both of these topics as you move through the rest of the course.

In this section we take a look at three videos that are related to global trends. The first is a video from the World Economic Forum introducing the concept of the “Fourth Industrial Revolution”.

This is a topic you should spend some time looking into and something you will be hearing quite a lot about in the future. There are lots of videos and articles on this topic for you to explore by searching on the term.

Developing an awareness of all that the Fourth Industrial Revolution entails will help you cope in a radically transforming, hypercomplex environment.
