Review of the week

The lead educator looks back at the highlghts of the week.

Well done! You’ve now reached the end of Week 3, and the end of the course.

David, your lead educator, looks back at some interesting talking points from this week in a video review.

David starts off with a quick overview of the three-week course and then moves on to talking about this week’s main topics – listening to conversations and extended talks.

He mentions why the test gets progressively more difficult and how you can deal with this. He also stresses the importance of knowing what bandscore you need before you take the test and how knowing your strengths and weaknesses is beneficial.

We looked at some listening Dos and Don’ts this week and David suggests reading comments from Luis Ortega Cruz and Gabriel Zuraman on this theme.

Tariq Sharaia suggests listening to Replay – the four minute mile

David mentions this week’s Facebook live – if you missed the live event you can watch the recording on step 3.2.

He finishes with a reminder to get your study plan organised if you’re taking the exam at some point in the future and wishes everyone good luck!
