Welcome to the Capstone!

I am excited to be offering this Capstone and am delighted that you will be joining in. This Capstone brings together the basic skills required for UX research and design that were covered in earlier courses in the User Experience Research and Design ExpertTracks. The next step towards mastery is to put them all together to design an interactive product that solves a real-world problem, and that’s what we’ll do in this Capstone!

To successfully complete this capstone, you should have completed all of the other courses in the UX Research and Design ExpertTracks before beginning this capstone.

In this Capstone you will:

• Gain practical experience in UX Research and Design

• Synthesize methods and theories from previous courses

• Carry out a significant, realistic project from start to finish, applying UX methods in an iterative design process

• Produce a portfolio project that can show employers what you can do

In this Capstone, you will have the option to complete 5 project milestones, to give and receive valuable feedback from other UX learners. You’ll then submit a final peer-reviewed project report. You are strongly encouraged to complete the milestones, engage with other learners in Comments, share your experiences with the project milestones, ask for help, and contribute your knowledge to others who need help.
