Final remarks

Leading academic Dr Vanessa Yardley closes the course with some final remarks.

Dr Vanessa Yardley: Over the past four weeks, we have covered many different aspects of visceral leishmaniasis and the control of the disease. We hope you’ve enjoyed the course and found it informative and useful. We also hope that you now have some understanding of the complexities of VL control and what is involved in building, delivering, and sustaining a successful programme in diverse and often challenging settings, from access to treatment and suitable diagnostic tools, as well as issues surrounding vector control, health education and surveillance, amongst many other things. We have enjoyed putting the MOOC together, and would very much like your feedback on its content. We are always wanting to hear from different learners.

And we wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavours. Goodbye.
