Recap – what’s a Project

GitHub Projects is a tool that allows you to organise your work into boards, which can be used to track the progress of a project. Each board contains columns that represent the stages of a project, such as ‘To Do’, ‘In Progress’ and ‘Done’. You can then create cards within each column to represent individual tasks, bugs or ideas.

By using GitHub Projects, you can keep track of your project’s progress, assign tasks to team members and get an overview of what needs to be done. This can be especially useful when working on large, complex projects with multiple contributors.

GitHub Projects can help keep everyone on the same page and ensure that the project is moving forward smoothly.

Your task

Now that you’ve seen what a Project is and how to set one up, it’s your turn to have a go.
On GitHub, you should create a new Project.
You should add at least five cards to it – you could try making:
  • a to-do list for your week
  • a revision list for this course
  • a plan for your next coding project
  • anything else you think would fit into a Kanban Board.
  • Remember to re-watch the video if you’re getting stuck.
