Presenting the Bar Model method
This video explains what the Bar Model method is, and shows some concrete examples.
The Bar Model method refers to a particular mathematical problem-solving approach. The method uses rectangular bars as pictorial representations of the quantities, and the relationships between quantities, in problem situations.
Different model methods can be used to solve different types of mathematics problems. There are five models:
- Part-part-whole model
- Comparison model
- Multiplication model
- Participation/Rate model
- Combination model
