Can economic globalisation be reversed?

Most expert commentators believe it’s irreversible. Today’s interdependent world economic system is firmly entrenched, meaning halting or reversing the status quo completely may not be possible. There may be ways to ensure economic globalisation is fairer, though. Greater enforcement of the rules set out by entities such as the World Trade Organisation (WTO) and balanced trade and trade agreements can address some of economic globalisation’s
known issues.
