Woodbrooke is Europe’s foremost Quaker learning and research organisation and has been offering adult education since it was founded in 1903. Woodbrooke provides opportunities for learning, connection and worship which are rooted in the Quaker tradition and open to all

Woodbrooke offers online courses and sessions with tailored resources and expert input. They also provide Woodbrooke Where You Are workshops where experienced tutors visit Quakers communities - both in person or online – to deliver group learning.

Their learning programme covers a wide range of courses on Quaker history and theology including Quaker understandings of Christianity and the Bible, contemporary Quaker belief and practice and community and working for a peaceful and just world by preparing individuals and groups, both Quaker and other, to respond effectively to emerging challenges in the wider world.

Woodbrooke is working in partnership with Lancaster University, collaborating on a wholly online distance learning Postgraduate Certificate in Quaker Studies and MA in Quakerism in the Modern World. Woodbrooke also offer postgraduate research degrees in partnership with the University of Birmingham.
