"To be effective in achieving bigger objectives, such as harmony between nations, interreligious dialogue has to be on a personal level - between neighbours - and someone has to make the first move."

A very interesting experience, thank you @EduardManeroserrano! Travelling as an opportunity to get to know each other is really good advice. When we can travel safely again, this could be a good way to get in touch with people of different religious affiliations!

Beatrice Granaroli replied to Damian Spataru
Would you like to tell us about one of them @DamianSpataru ? It could be a good example... for someone else something to start from!
-
Beatrice Granaroli replied to Evelyn Orozco
Do you mean that all religions refer to one God?
-
Yes @SteffiVolk I agree with you, it is very interesting this concept that focuses on the possibility of translation of the revealed concepts.. and how that is linked to the possibility of communication between believers, even of different religious faiths.
-
Beatrice Granaroli replied to Damian Spataru
'What is the relationship between hope and eschatology within religions?' I think there are possible answers to that question in the text. What do you think?
-
Thank you for this nice comment.. you are right @HazelDunphy, we need all of these aspects to understand the others as well as possible!
-
Beatrice Granaroli replied to Alexis Johnson
Welcome 'on board' Alexis! It is very interesting that you live an interreligious dialogue within your family. This could be one of the declinations of our MOOC title 'religions from the inside'! We are pleased to know your point of view.. see you in the comments!

there are aspects of goodness, mercy, loyalty. What of the man can mirror the presence of God, of the Transcendence more in general, can be the witness of God, a glimpse of his presence. Also in the most 'guilty' human, just for the reason he/she is alive, there is something that speaks about God.. or for him. I don't remember anymore who is the author of the...
-
This seems a valuable insight @DavidRobson... I think the great mystery of the incarnation too, from a Christian point of view, is in some way related to your thought. A God who has chosen to become human, with all the contradictions lying to that. Not only for who is good but also for who is 'evil'. This aspect seems to be also in the other confessional...

Beatrice Granaroli made a comment
Try to comment on each other's chosen passages, it could lead to very interesting discussions among us... everyone can give his or her own valuable point of view on the matter, maybe from different religious backgrounds.
-
Excellent correlation @SoniaMarieDuguiawe !
-
Yes. it could be crazy!
But, if I may help.. 'existential' is something relating to the existence, so the existential truth is a kind of faith/hopeful expectation that concerns your whole life. The difference is pretty much clear in contrast with the ancient greek concept of 'Aletheia: the truth, in this case, is a correspondence between the aspects of the...
