  • I usually work with the course book that's prescribed. At times i share Power Point on particular topics to get students more interested, I use the Google drive to create individual folders for students to submit assignments. Assignments are up loaded on the school website students are told to refer the website and complete the assignment and send it by email...

  • Teaching online is a great tool at a time when there are no face- to face classes. At the same time it can be difficult to get the attention of students when a reading text is done. Some of them are very distracted and teaching gets interrupted and the attention is driven away from what is being done.Home work and reading, students are not interested they take...

  • Students in my class are reading for academic purpose, they are being trained to read a passage with 400 to 450 words and and answer the questions that follow, because these students by the end of February will need to appear for a National exam. Although at times I do deviate and concentrate on the vocabulary used, and ask them to pick out...

  • Students are mostly exam oriented and now a days parents require to see their wards writing. When the writing is scanty parents are concerned they are working ans only looking towards the exam perspective. There fore Writing is difficult and I feel students are missing out on writing essays, during the face - to face teaching much time was spent on this...

  • Synchronous and asynchronous activities and settling goals.

  • a great learning platform, thanks for sharing posts and websites for references.

  • I have 82 students in a class and it can be very stressful handling a large number. Is there any other way you can suggest handling these classes. The school has opted for the basic use of zoom therefore there's no way for breakout rooms.

  • Teaching online for a beginner can be very hard.In order to stay comfortable and confident a lot of preparation must be done prior to the class. Back up is important in case something goes wrong in the class. Lengthy lectures and mere rhetoric makes the class dull and mundane. Therefore a teachers the knows and the musts must be concentrated on.

  • It is important to recognise the needs of students wanting to learn English. It is important also for the teacher to first build a strong rapport with students and get to understand what the class requires and how best we can make students feel comfortable and happy.

  • Like Marie Therese says that course books work really well with online learning and teaching I do agree with her. I frequently use the prescribed course book to work with grammar and reading comprehension. Often the white board is used to share Power Points when teaching vocabulary. Home work, every week five students are picked out to share their answers on...

  • I use the white board to display passages of short length, I get individual students to read aloud by sharing the screen. Formats for letter writing and other grammar lessons are used widely on the White Board.

  • I have been working with Zoom for the last five months. Parents and students seem to be comfortable with this platform. Quizzes are done using the Google platform. Since a password is created hanging and getting students introduced to a new platform will be a disturbance.

  • Teaching in a school and having to follow a time table restricts me from using breakout rooms. It becomes multi tasking and for some children who have no access to the network may lose out trying to use new platforms. New platforms are very interesting and does certainly help with online learning.

  • Although I miss meeting and interacting with my students personally, the zoom app has made it possible to interact with them . Lessons are taught through slides shows and PowerPoint . The Google classroom is used to upload files. Class Dojo is also used for worksheets . I haven’t stayed using the rooms for students to do lair work and group work. This is very...

  • Since the pandemic , introducing online learning has been very challenging. One of the issues I faced students are unable to connect as they live in interior villages and they do not have Wi Fi . For those students recorded lessons are a choice . The lessons are recorded and uploaded on the school website. WhatsApp is used widely recorded lessons are sent...

  • Due to the CV 19 it’s mandatory for me to teach students online they’ll be appearing for exams, I need to update myself with the current technology and get involved with best online teaching practices.

  • I have been fortunate to have taught children from the ages of 5 to 16 . All these classes were face to face classes till last February. Online teaching came into being from May with thePandemic CV19. Currently I teach grade 10 they’re are teenagers and 80 students it can be very distressing to get students involved with the learning process. Being a large...

  • Due to CV19 face to face classes has been halted. Getting students to learn English online can be very trying. There’s no exact method that’s getting students interested and involved in the class. Most students in the first place consider learning English to cumbersome and are easily distracted. Many tools have been used to get students interested. With...

I’m looking forward to taking my class to better learning and using technology and techniques for teaching English. I’m looking forward to enhance better skills.

  • Its a very useful method to give a story a form and get characters fixed accordingly.

  • I'm a beginner will have to learn a lot

  • The three elements together , "The Somebody,"The wants something " and 'Has trouble in getting it is a great idea to start a story line

  • It was a great discussion I like what Tom Benn thinks that it needs to have some kind of truth, a truthful progression, truthful character and a truthful world, I think it is very important where and how you start the story. This discussion will give me better thoughts to formulate my thinking.

  • I have learnt the three elements in making of a script, what's exciting and what makes it great is yet to be researched upon.

  • For a screen play of a movie that's my favourite and I have watched it over and over again I selected Shaw Shank Redemption by Frank Darabont. A interesting aspect when Andy Dufresne an American banker is sentenced to two life terms in prison for the murders of his wife and and her lover and is sentenced to a tough prison. Andy is certain that he didn't...
