  • More likely to promote the UK

  • The information was enough for me

  • I'll explore the websites to learn more about studying in UK and being informed about any latest development so as to give an updated counsel to my students

  • I'll apply for more courses with the British Council and I'll want to be a certified British Council agent

  • Yes am in touch with my students even after graduation.

  • Students who studied in the UK feel very happy because they enjoyed every moment they spent there and they had a quality education in one of the major destinations in international education.
Their experiences is the same with the ones shared in the video.
I feel satisfied when the share their lovely experiences of how they interacted with people from...

  • If u inform them before arrival you've made them know about the service and they explore it when they get there
There's also careers service which equally helps the students settle in building a successful career for them

  • Advantages like being bold and not inferior, faster learning when compared to individual learning, increases competition, exchanging ideas from people of different nationalities, learning from people of advanced nations are enough reason to convince learning cultures which doesn't partake in group work

  • I'll counsel my students to seek career services and also utilize their internship where applicable and also to explore the post graduate work route

  • It had adverse effects on my job but the ease of restrictions brought succour.
The benefits the universities are bringing due to COVID-19 is great

  • I inform them about the international students office, tell them about the benefits of exploring groups like peer mentoring and meeting course tutors

  • I agree totally with David
Most students from Nigeria are taught the old fashioned way but they seriously yearn to have that problem based and internship learning, that's why they seek international education.
I really don't do much because the students wants that problem and practical based teaching methods to equip themselves and be better than their...

  • My students mostly like socializing, traveling
I do tell them that their primary purpose of traveling is for studies but within their extracurricular time they should make good count of it by traveling, belonging to social group, clubs etc
Extracurricular activities helps builds students social life

  • I provide all the relevant info to my students, tell them about the importance of orientation and induction, tell them about the international students office , tell them to make enquires where necessary and my phone is always available to assist them where necessary.
Yes i discuss culture shock with them, telling them to socialize as a way of killing culture...

  • You benefits by learning people's culture, heritage, languages etc

  • The change from tier 4 visa to graduate route is something new to me and i renewed my knowledge on so many things i already knew.

  • Good session from you both
I commend you for the efforts.

  • Get in contact via mail and other forms of communication

  • As an agency we will understand the school and the programs they offer then intimate them about how we can meet recruitment target by these medium of marketing; social media, manual (flyers, billboard), others (referral)

  • Trainings and symposium are very necessary as this keeps the agent updated

  • It's necessary to give the student all the requirements involved in admission processes and guiding them accordingly.

  • It's very useful because I'll use it during counseling and preparing the student.
Well after telling them the process i can help them source for materials which will prepare them for test/interview.

  • Universities requirements varies from one school to the other, so it's important to know the particular school's requirement before counseling your students.

  • Well i let them know that her band score isn't enough for her to study in that particular school then I'll look for a school within London metropolis as an alternative or tell her to resit for an English test where she is expected to attain a particular score

  • UCAS is great but having the prerequisite is the issue for assessing them but managing students to me is the most important tool.
No am not a registered UCAS center.
They should try and make their registration easy for new agents.

  • The graduate route will enable the student have more UK experience and that is welcoming

  • I have successfully launched visa application and didn't encounter issues as i always follow the gov.uk site

  • Integrity: having integrity is important in business because it shows how sincere and straightforward you are in your dealings and this will in return provide countless referrals from students who has had dealings with you.
By satisfying your students and providing them with the necessary support and information, that way i can demonstrate am working ethically.

  • He meant that agents and counselors should be transparent in their dealings with students.
I can demonstrate that am working ethically by giving them accurate information, which if they go anywhere they'll still be told the same thing.
I would advise them to desist because not adhering to instructions and providing the necessary support documents will hinder...

  • Explaining gaps are very necessary so as to be sincere and receive referral from your students, also bridging the gap is necessary as well. For me am well grounded in both the knowledge and the ethical obligation

  • Both the school and Fahmida are on the same page, you have to ask your students want they want then look at their strength and weakness in order to provide them with a good counsel.

  • I'll let them know about the international students office wing, that they can reach their child and even their tutors from there.

  • For a good counselor, you need the knowledge of the country, school, etc before counseling a student about the country.
I need a good reasoning and judgement skill to know schools that we'll suit my students.
Telling them all that needs to be told about a destination and providing schools that'll be suitable to them and them choosing one out of the schools...

  • It's good to know your clients need, counsel her on the path he/she should tow and ensure to guide them throughout the process

  • Well as a counselor i want to know schools with good reviews and ranking that are cheap and affordable for students.
I counsel students on their course of choice, destination and process their admissions and visas

  • They have two schools in top three universities in the world, that's a rare feat and their degrees are faster to obtain than other destinations

  • I believe before enrolling the students must have gone through the country, school and also has evaluated other countries before arriving at her decision.

  • Well the insights given are very good and has broaden my knowledge about the UK.

  • Her counsel was top notch but they're quite expensive

  • These informations can be found on the international higher education website and also the various school website

  • Kenneth Elewa made a comment

To find out schools which are accredited by the British Council

  • The benefits of studying English in UK which has a different courses and diverse cultures. The teaches lawyers, doctors and military people who wants to study English and also students who comes from a non English speaking countries to learn English as a pathway to studying their course

  • Finding the information isn't that difficult.
All of the ratings are useful to prospective students

  • Teaching excellence framework are used to access the standard of teaching in schools
Quality assurance agency are used to carry out external reviews of the schools in UK.
National student survey are used to know number of students enrolled in the school.
Graduate employability rate are used to check to number of graduate of a particular field working.

  • I know so many top notch universities in UK, but Teesside and Robert Gordon Universities are good schools with low tuition fees. Found them through my partner agencies.
I know Scotland has it's own qualification framework different from the rest of UK.

  • For a country's two universities to be ranked in top three it clearly shows that they're better in teaching, research, infrastructure wise etc than others.
For a highly ranked school, you'll meet experts who will impact knowledge to you and also all the support (research, library, laboratories) will be available, but for lowly ranked school most of these...

  • By global citizen, she's referring to being a good ambassador of the school and country and also the respective field of study.
Very useful because my students wants to be global in their academics hence their reason for studying in UK.
Tuition fee, cost of living, visa denial.
Their teaching methods, infrastructure, research intensity, laboratories,...

  • Well she nailed it with her points, students wants where they can get all the necessary support to succeed in their academics and also a quality education.
These two points to me are the most important before other factors like tuition fee etc

  • The answers can't be straightforward simply because students priorities differs, I believe counseling the students will avail you more info as to what his/her priorities are then advising the student as to what is obtaining

  • Yes, they mentioned the duration of time to acquire a degree and there's nothing surprising

  • I think they have fast turnaround period and equally their program is swift when compared to other major destinations.
Their welcoming and tolerant nature to me is the most important thing about UK

  • I actually haven't been to UK but I've done an applyboard counsellor course for UK and have equally read about UK to know it's a culturally diverse country with so many nationalities living there, either working, doing business or studying.

  • I represent a commission based agent whose willing and ready for partnership with UK institutions

  • The certificate being issued is it for free?
