I think that is terrible. You should have the best quality and safety in any food, no matter the price.

Thank you team for an enjoyable, informative course. I have learnt so much about the food system and the challenges it presents to the expects as well as the consumer. I will be looking at labels and logos in a different way in the future.

I do not agree with the last two comments, in fact I'm surprised people think that way. It is not fewer humans we need but the need to have the right kind of balance. The rich nations helping the poor nations. The educated showing the way of farming, health and family issues, etc. so that they can survive.

I agree with what has already been said. Price has a lot to do with choice. You can not buy the 'good' range of food if you can't afford it. I'm lucky I can but young people with children have to consider the price first. They perhaps do not consider the information at their disposal. If the food looks wholesome and they know the children will eat it. They...

Food labels should be more easier to understand. Perhaps a list beside a product, that informs consumers what each item on the label means. For example, The nutrition value of carbohydrates, The quality and the amounts of ingredients, like salt and fat. The different's in orange juice. etc.

I will certainly be looking at labels and logos from now on. It has given be a new interest in food products. I will also be asking more questions, somethings I don't normally do. I 'm interested in animal welfare especially travelling livestock. I believe animals should be slaughtered in their country of origin and not go through the stress of travelling...

My box of Weetabix has a 'Food Assured Standards Logo' with a British flag. It is reassuring to know that the logo demonstrates that the Weetabix has met a unique standard of food safety , good for the environment and traceable. I cannot think what other guidelines would be useful. The information given and expected, is well covered to help the consumer to make the right chose.
The logos demonstrate to the consumer that the product is authentic and safe and has been produced in a sustainable ethical way. Perhaps more simple advertising may be useful, that is easier to understand at a... -

I never thought about meat of less quality before. What does it mean? Are the animals fed less quality food or is it the region or the country it comes from.? I go by the look as well as the label. I like to support British meat as I'm English and believe the process and production is one of the best.

I find myself looking at labels now with new interest. On buying fresh vegetables. I was surprised to find the Scottish flag on the cauliflower. More people need to understand how important it is, to know about the impact producing food has on our environment. From food production to food waste. I'm lucky to live in the country, like so many people where you can buy free range eggs and locally produced meat. I find there is so much information on the label, that I become confused. When I buy orange juice, it is one that I have tried and trusted. 100% squeezed, not from concentrate. This advertisement has been chosen for a certain market so may not be completely non-rational. The glove must be of a high stranded to be advertised in the way It is, depicting a 'high class ' lady.'
