  • La connaissance des structures tridimensionnelles est essentielle pour que nous puissions identifier de subtiles similitudes et différences entre les différents organismes vivants.

  • How are you enjoying the course Sally? Happy to receive any feedback you may have!

  • I am sure they will reply to you through here

  • there are UEA articles on arXiv but the UEA has its own repository as well

  • Excellent, sounds like you are well on the tracks. I often do outreach events, where I talk about the importance of foreign language skills in science, especially is this ever diminishing (in terms of travel times) world of ours. Have you thought about a science/biochemistry degree with a year abroad component ?

  • Hi Elise, sharing information about good sources of information is perfectly OK

  • putting information into images and graphs is an essential skill for conveying complex data

  • ... and reflect on it ...

  • Hi Morgaine, we have some links to articles, especially on the subject of biofuels, from a collaborator of mine, the Nobel Laureate Hartmut Michel, however, we've tried to keep links to primary research articles to a minimum. If you'd like further more detailed information on any of the topics on the MOOC, however, simply just ask!

  • HI Megan, great subject choice, what highers are you doing?

  • Hi William, if you have any questions of Biochemistry UCAS applications, just ask?

  • Hi Tiffany, I hope the science rubs off on your artwork?

  • Welcome to you both!

  • Hi Adel, Shona has summed it up, however I would say that there are also lots of good online resources as well, the sciences pages of the BBC website are good. Indeed at this time of year reading about the Nobel Prizes as they are being awarded is also great, the medicine one this week on Immunotherapy treatment for cancer was intriguing.

  • Hi Morgaine, there are some fantastic videos of the ATP machine, that we link to, a really fabulous molecular machine and essential for all life!

  • Hallo Lauren, what other subjects are you studying?

  • Hi Iffath, nice wide variety of A'levels, hope you keep them up to the end!

  • Hi Bill, please let us have some feedback on the course and whether you think it could enhance your teaching delivery?

  • Hi Megan, fantastic, a year abroad combined with science is a great option

  • Fraser MacMillan replied to [Learner left FutureLearn]

Hi Tom, let us know what you decide?

  • HI Ciara, lets us know if the course helps you decide between biology and biochemistry

  • Welcome Robyn, I hope you enjoy the course

  • Wow Jack, 4 tough A'levels how are you getting on?

  • Welcome Radu

  • HI Sarah, please let us know if you find the material here useful?

  • Welcome Victoria

  • Hi harry, how did you find the open days?

  • Hi Rebecca, great that your tutor recommended the course, how are you finding it?

  • Hi Tanja, gap years can be very useful for you to find out what you really want to do, hopefully this course can help in that process?

  • Hi Victoria, please simply ask if there are any questions

  • Welcome Tina

  • Hi Lucia, Just as it is for most things currently, I think Brexit is causing a certain amount of anxiety for researchers, however in this day and age, all fundamental research must be global! At a basic science level, scientists are competing to publish their findings in the same scientific research journals as colleagues all over the world, the patents and...

  • great, glad you engaged with the material!

  • hope you found it useful?

  • again, what specifically did you go away and look up?

  • what particularly did you look up?

  • sounds like you found the course useful?

  • thanks, so the maths (or rather quantitative) side of things is not quite your cup of tea?

  • thanks, glad you enjoyed it

  • a well balanced comment!

  • Hi Ellen, I think we need to be very careful with our use and distribution of antibiotics, clearly are time passes we will need to develop additional approaches to maintaining general health, but I think stem cells implants, while a potential reality are still some way of.

  • Hi Brittany, there is a step later on where this can be discussed with others

  • Welcome Emmanuel

  • indeed, do you have a clear idea of the sort of career you'd like to develop?
