  • This is a serious challenge however you can still have separate supply chain strategies for rural and urban areas ,and as the time goes and when technology covers more areas, you can adopt your already working supply chain strategy to new covered areas.

  • We should not think about SC in isolation from marketing and the vice versa. The alignment between them is crucial for companies. Marketing has the role of shaping the demand and they should not do that in a way which exceeds the capacity of their supply chain.

  • In case of a natural disaster, there are always many countries, organisations and agencies who are ready to provide their support for the ones affected however it is the planning and coordination which could ensure that the demand meets with the right supply.
