  • The third student said 'I can read OK in my mind'. Does that mean that some dyslexics are actually fluent when reading to themsleves, without having to pronounce the words?

  • I thought I had never had a student with dyslexia before. Looking back now, I feel kind of ashamed to think that some of my former students who I thought lazy or disinterested might actually have had a difficulty, and I failed them! :(

  • That's an interesting question. My first langauage is Spanish and the spelling-sound correspondance is quite straightforward. I know Spanish speakers with dyslexia, though.
