In my country, Brazil, we have a representation of Independence that doesn't corresponde with the moment and local culture. For example, it doesn't have black people represented. There are only Europeans.

I would like to research the history of Librarianship in Brazil. My thesis is that the Librarianship was concerned inside a national project of modernisation of our country. I will consulting official documents, letters, photographs, diaries, newspapers and others documents from years 1930’s years.

It is true that our time is a challenging time, and The greatest of them is about digital documents. In my point of view, we have less documents like we had concern in the past and more information that has the mark of volatility. It is because this that I think that we will can study the social media if we register the date of recuperation of information.

I tend agree with first and third opinion. They focused in how deep we want to develop The ideas from students. Sometimes what is important is to keep their attention, but in other times what ee need is develop/ improve their knowledge.

I usually organize my classes by SOS system:
Sensiblization - Consist to catch attention from students by using a image, a key question about anything related with the topic, a video
Organization - When you deep the discussion with concepts and practices examples
Systematization - It is about instruments that you use for developing their knowledge like... -

Topic: Different use from information literacy
It is a kind of study wich define different steps to understand a new information. Perrotti is the teacher who studied the approach about learning in a library. -

Number 1 - I usually support my information literacy class using images and a little story from a cartoon. For example: to explain about the importance to pay attention to our users I use a cartoon that demonstrate a strange and comic situation in a public library.

Raini I totally agree with you, I am not an addicted on social medias too, I only use facebook to connect myself to friends living abroad. I would like to understand why people prefer to live a virtual life instead of their real life.

I agree with all options. The use depends on who are in front of The social media (I am talking about people and institutions). I believe there are many groups using these kind of tool as marketing and political.
