Привет Асия. Добро пожаловать на курс! Перевел ли Google достаточно хорошую работу?
-
Nicole Withers replied to Karen De Gregorio
Hi Karen. You can definitely still enrol right now and get the full duration of the course available.
-
Andy, one never knows what to say in times like this. I suppose, take heart from the fact that someday the pain will feel less sharp and you'll feel more good than bad most of the time?

Welcome to week 5! I hope you find great value in this week.
Remember, if you have any questions about how to use the course, and if you have any technical issues, I will do my best to help. -
Hi Richard. I'm glad you find these helpful. Even though you started it, you don't have to worry; the course material will still be available for two weeks after the course ends.
-
Nicole Withers replied to lindile stuurman
Hi lindile. Please outline your problem. Maybe I can help.
-
Nicole Withers replied to Nagina Ahmadi
Hi Nagina. If your bandwidth doesn't allow you to watch the videos, we've created a transcript for each video which is much easier to download and read. Each transcript is in the "Downloads" section below each step.

Welcome to week 2! I hope you have been enjoying the course thus far.

It seems you have two different profiles, unless there is another Patrick Collett. https://www.futurelearn.com/profiles/3950351 and https://www.futurelearn.com/profiles/5223110 . If you go to the profile, scroll down and you will see all your comment activity. Hope this helps!

Hi Patrick. I've followed you, but can only see your comments of the last day or so. Did you re-register with the same email address as before?
-
Nicole Withers made a comment
Wow, it's amazing to see the many different backgrounds you all come from. Let's hope that this melting pot of personalities, careers, vocations and opinions will create a lively and inspiring conversation about each week's topic.

A warm welcome to the newcomers! It really isn't too late to start. We hope you enjoy the course!
-
John, I am glad you enjoyed the course! Cape Town summers are amazing, except for that infernal "Cape Doctor" wind we experience. Enjoy!
-
Nicole Withers replied to pamela roskilly
Hi pamela. If you haven't upgraded, the course will still be available for two weeks after the official end date. Enjoy!
-
Hi Michael. I am glad you find the course interesting! Regarding the mid-course survey, the email is sent out when we expect the "model" learner to be midway. We understand that some people may have started late, or may even have completed already. Apologies for the inconvenience. Perhaps I can get them to send one email instead of two.
-
Hi Charlene. Welcome! Even though we are in our penultimate week, the course material will still be available for two weeks after the course ends (if you did not upgrade). The videos are downloadable, as well, so you may then view them after the course ends.
-
Nicole Withers replied to Sue B
Hi Sue. You can download videos; they carry a Creative Commons license which means you can share them with others. I'm glad you find so much value in this course

Hi, and welcome to the course to all of you who've just signed up! The course materials will still be available for two weeks after the end date, so you still have time to enjoy the course.
-
Nicole Withers replied to Omar Llano
Hi Omar! Welcome. It's definitely not too late to start, as the course materials will still be available for two weeks after the end date.
-
Nicole Withers replied to Natalie Webb
Hi Natalie. Due to copyright constraints, we are not allowed to share an excerpt from the book. Depending on your location, you may find a copy in your local (or online) bookstore.
-
Welcome! You will have access for two weeks after the course end date, so take your time and enjoy.
-
Nicole Withers replied to Kiera Rose
Patrick, I apologise for misunderstanding your question. We have so many images, and all of them with different sharing licences. I suggest you have a look at the reference section of each video (at the end). The images in the videos which are freely available are listed there with their corresponding licence types and URLs. Hope this helps!

A warm welcome to those who started a bit later in the week! We hope you enjoy the next few weeks!
-
Nicole Withers replied to Terry Jacobs
Terry, thanks for picking that up! I've made the necessary changes. Enjoy the rest of the course!
-
Hi Alan. No particular reason. It was a totally arbitrary decision by our graphic designer.
-
Hi Daniela. We've included a glossary in step 3 (The five big extinction events) which should help with some words.
-
Nicole Withers made a comment
Welcome, all! Thank you for telling us a little bit about yourself. We hope you enjoy the course!
-
Hi pamela. The problem may be in that your phone can't open PDF? Most of the links in this step are in PDF format, another in an e-book type format. Please try accessing them via a computer.
-
Nicole Withers replied to Terry Jacobs
Thanks, Terry. It seems that the video no longer exists on Vimeo. Watch this space for an alternative (working!) link
-
Nicole Withers replied to Kiera Rose
Hi Patrick. On each step that has a video, the transcript can be found below the text of that step under the "DOWNLOADS" header. Sometimes there will be other downloadable resources under that header as well.
-
That's good to hear, Shirleyann. I suggest you save every downloadable document as you come across it; this way you can always have a copy at hand.
-
Hi all. I've managed to fix it. Please try the link again

Welcome! I'm really happy that you have decided to take this amazing course. Aside from the content, the discussions between learners is what drives the learning. Enjoy!
-
Hi Roda. Please use the grey "support" button on the bottom right of the page. Someone on Futurelearn's end should be able to assist.
-
Hi Anne. Terribly sorry to hear that this is happening. Please click on the "Support" button on the bottom right hand corner on a course page (you should be able to see it when reading this). Alternatively, scroll down to the end of the page and click on "Contact" to use one of the available methods of contacting Futurelearn.
-
Hi Adam. There is a link in the text above. Click on it, and you will see a map. Click on that, and you will arrive here http://www.un.org/disabilities/documents/maps/enablemap.jpg
