  • Thank you Jo. The link is meant to take you back to Step 1.9. It works for me. Hopefully it was a temporary glitch, which is fixed itself.... But let me know if not.

  • Glad it has been valuable. Chemical bonds are very important in Biology...

  • Welcome to the course Eloise and hope you will find it useful.

  • Welcome to the course Sera and hope you enjoy the course.

  • Hello Lilly, Welcome to the course. Hope you enjoy it. Let us know if you have any questions about our Biosciences courses: https://www.york.ac.uk/biology/undergraduate/

  • Hello Dorothy. Welcome to the course.

  • Thank you for the feedback Aahana.

  • Glad you found it interesting.

  • Welcome Thomas and you are not late at all. Hope you enjoy the course.

  • @GaryE The key is to lower the activation energy. This is achieved by catalysts. Temperature is one type of catalysts (a good one in chemistry or industry), but biologically is useless (as you correctly highlighted and yes, I have read the book- it's a great book :))... Does this make sense?

  • Glad this is sorted.

  • Yes, great point.

  • This is very interesting and thank you for posting. Enzymes can be regulated and that's really key to how things function.

  • Welcome to the course Yutong. Week 2 will be of particular interest.

  • We hope you enjoy it Emily.

  • Great advice Jennie and welcome to the course.

  • Welcome to the course Catherine. Hope you enjoy it.

  • That's a good technique. We know this (metabolism/glycolysis) is a complicated process, but it's very important.

  • Yes, good idea not to try this then.

  • Hi Percy, Welcome to the course. We hope it will be a good uni taster course for you.

  • Welcome to the course Tammie. Hope you will enjoy it while waiting for your course start in September.
