  • Agree. “Medical tourism” should not include spas etc, although these activities can be included in “wellness tourism”.

  • Yes. All of these activities are part of the medical travel industry. Increasingly, some countries are known for a particular group of procedures— dentistry; facial cosmetic surgery, Chinese medicine etc

  • As indicated in the lecture, "wellness tourism" and "health tourism" include procedures for individuals who are not sick.
