Learning outcomes

On completion of this program, you should be able to:

  • Critically assess the implications of contemporary issues within the construction industry with a focus on project management
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of research methodology including theory, ontology and epistemology in academic research
  • Review and evaluate the main streams of construction research methods strategies and their applications
  • Formulate research problems linked to the construction manager's role and apply appropriate quantitative and qualitative research methods to address these problems to achieve defined objectives
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding in academic writing to a postgraduate level such as proposals and conference papers.
