Coventry University program

Disaster Interventions, Evaluation and Learning

Understand how and why accountability, standards and mechanisms should be applied across all levels of the disaster system.

This program is part of the MSc Disaster Management and Resilience degree offered by Coventry University

Understand the meaning of accountability in disaster contexts

The world is changing and so are the types and levels of disasters and conflicts. In this program, you will explore the topics of disaster intervention, evaluation and learning.

During your learning journey, you will focus on one of the key words of disaster studies: accountability.

You will explore both good and bad practices and become familiar with the tools and mechanisms used to monitor and evaluate the disaster intervention process. Improved accountability should result in better outcomes and ensure limited resources are used to a greater effect.
