Deakin University program

The Economic Development Record

Welcome to this Deakin University unit, ADH733 Economic Development Record. Examine economic data measures related to development.

This program is part of the Sustainable Development and Humanitarian Action degree offered by Deakin University

Examine the economics of development: meanings, indicators, and strategies.

Join experienced, respected humanitarian leaders and practitioners to gain a critical understanding of the economic development record. Economics is central to development but is not the entirety of development. One can make little sense of the world without understanding global, national and local economies, their interactions and how economics effects households and individuals. We will work with the basis of economics: data. We’ll work through the advantages and disadvantages of certain data sets when describing poverty and development and survey basic economic theory.
