Globalisation and Health

Develop skills for appraising the social, economic, and political developments and the impact on health across the world.

This program is part of the MSc Global Healthcare Management degree offered by Coventry University

Understand how globalisation affects population health

This module explores how globalisation shapes the social determinants of people’s health and wellbeing. It encourages students to think about how the main drivers and dimensions of globalisation influence the occurrence, spread and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases at country, regional, and global levels.

Students will explore and evaluate the challenges facing global health agents and initiatives on their efforts to mitigate the health impact of globalisation to improve population health outcomes and reduce health inequalities.
