Assess strategic leadership outcomes and their effect on employees’ performance

This program focuses on the role of leaders within organisations and provides an overview of the theories and research concerning different leadership typologies.

You will examine the effect of strategic leadership on organisational performance, looking at both positive and negative responses to leadership styles and the effect these have on employees and organisational performance.

You will also be encouraged to tackle complex issues, understand the inter-related aspects of organisational change and develop solutions to a range of multi-faceted problems.

A former police officer, academia came late in life. These days, practice, teaching and research combine occupational and forensic psychology, with masters degrees and doctorates in both subjects.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this program, you should be able to:

  • Critically evaluate theories of leadership and different approaches to management theory

  • Critically evaluate contemporary themes in relation to strategy

  • Critically evaluate and apply strategic leadership theories in an international, industry and organisational context

  • Critically apply skills in searching for business information

  • Demonstrate business report writing skills through application of theory and practice

  • Demonstrate the application of ethical guidelines with sensitivity and integrity
