Pre-sessional English Online Award

Develop your academic English language skills for successful study at university.

This program is part of the Pre-sessional English Online Award degree offered by Coventry University

Develop your academic English language skills for entry to your destination course at university

The Pre-sessional English Online Award from Coventry University is a series of short online courses, delivered over 14 weeks. The award aims to equip you with the English language skills required for success at university in the UK.

You’ll have the opportunity to explore the language specific to higher education in the UK, build your own strategies for dealing with new vocabulary and develop an understanding of what is expected of you as a student in the UK.

You’ll also have the opportunity to build on your writing, reading and listening skills, move beyond IELTS to develop your critical thinking skills, and produce work that reflects the standard required for your destination course.

At the end of the Award you will take assessments that allow you to demonstrate you have the English language ability and academic skills required for your destination course.

This award costs £1,500 and on successful completion you will be able to continue your university journey.

It is recommended that you use a laptop or desktop computer to complete the interactive activities (exercise steps) on the PSE Online Award. Whilst some activities will work on a mobile or tablet device, it is recommended that you switch to a computer if you encounter any issues. For pronunciation activities you will be required to use Google Chrome web browser in order for the activity to work correctly.
