Study vulnerability in complex technological systems and networks

This program examines in detail today’s technology-dependent organisations and the factors that drive and influence security and resilience in such complex and integrated systems.

On this program, you’ll investigate vulnerabilities, risk and security challenges at an organisational, national and transnational level, going beyond the traditional cyber security purview to look at the demands on wider interconnected systems across critical infrastructure and city resilience, existential threats and global risks.

Assistant professor and practitioner specialising in crisis management, risk, business continuity, security and resilience. A recipient of multiple awards having worked across 49 countries.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program, you should be able to:

  • Conceptualise views and models of security and resilience and issues around safety and sustainability in an organisational context and beyond

  • Analyse approaches to evaluating emerging risks and opportunities

  • Evaluate approaches to security and resilience in an organisational and trans/national context

  • Understand challenges around secure and resilient futures in the wider context of technological development and innovation
