Self-efficacy is a person’s belief in their own ability to carry out actions required to reach specific goals. In healthcare, it can be hugely important for patient recovery.

On this two-week course, you’ll build knowledge and understanding of self-efficacy, patient expectations, and how to incorporate these concepts into your patent management .

You’ll learn how to assess, measure, and provide strategies to manage and build self-efficacy and positive expectations of recovery in your clinical environment. Armed with this knowledge, you’ll have the tools to improve patient care.

Learn how patient expectations affect recovery

You’ll start by gaining an overview of patient expectation and self-efficacy and the research that has been conducted in this field.

Through this exploration, you’ll discover how patient expectation and self-efficacy can be measured and linked with clinical outcomes.

Develop strategies to build self-efficacy

Next, you’ll delve into the biological, psychological, and sociological effects of self-efficacy and patient expectations on patient outcome. You’ll then explore strategies for managing expectation and improving self-efficacy.
