Summary and reflection

Summary and reflection.

In this second week of the course, we built on Week 1 by exploring approaches to assessment, which is a fundamental part of the learning journey.

We have thought about the purpose of assessment and feedback, and challenged many traditional assumptions about how they are conceptualised and practised.

Crucially, we have considered the role of students. Rather than always being on the receiving end of assessment and feedback, nowadays students may have the chance to play an active role in these areas.

As educators, we have the chance to facilitate this type of engagement through our own practices and to reimagine how assessment can provide exciting opportunities for learning.
