  • There's absolutely no doubt that there's a plane in my future.

  • Robert Mwesige made a comment

Indeed the skies are crowded. It's only in Africa where we see less aircrafts in the air. The US popular states and destinations seem to have more planes.

  • I think humans still have an important role to play especially if a tourist wants to negotiate, and speak with the hotel directly. Computerized booking is also important because it saves time and beings the unknown facilities online.

  • I'm very interested in the OTA business and I'm looking forward to build one because of my strength in digital marketing. That's their battle ground because the top 3 results of a search query take 5% of the clicks on search engines. I simple need a good website design expert.

  • As I get exposed to the terminology and different player in the industry, I think hotels, and tour operators operators have been doing this along with other reservations. I think that's just one simple service we'll add on the menu for our target clients. Our MEMARTs mentioned all these services at incorporation.

  • I think adjusting the price is one way to manage overcrowding. That's how Uganda is managing the gorilla permits. These animals were almost getting used to humans because many people were tracking them, and the whole essence of wildlife would be lost.

  • One other country that attracted my attention is Rwanda. The country has to put "Visit Rwanda" on the Arsenal jersey.

  • I first heard of Miami as a travel destination when my former workplace executive director went on a trip for one month.

  • I'm getting into tourism to have an opportunity to design good itineraries and tag along to enjoy tourism. I've mostly been traveling for work.

  • 1- Uganda, the Pearl of Africa

I still want to Immerse myself in nature's paradise. I want to track majestic gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, trek through the verdant Murchison Falls National Park.

    2- Dubai

I want to step into a futuristic metropolis: I hear Dubai is a dazzling city where towering skyscrapers pierce the sky and opulent shopping...

  • This is quite an interesting discovery. I was mostly thinking of international Travellers but I think I'll have to design itineraries tailored to local tourists.

  • It's yet another session for grasshoppers in Uganda. I enjoyed those today. It's interesting how he referred to them as bugs.

  • I love the exercise because it clarifies what we've been using without knowing their relationship with AI.

  • AI saves time. An article that used to take me 3 days to write can now be completed in just one day or even just an hour. Additionally, AI can be incredibly useful for performing risky tasks, such as working in extreme heat or in environments with dangerous rays.

  • For me, AI are tools and systems designed to independently perform tasks faster and more accurately than would otherwise be done by a human.

  • Palawan, the largest island in the Palawan Province in the western Philippines, as the chosen destination.

I've decided to stay at the Vellago Resort, an accommodation with a restaurant and an on-site bar for added convenience.

I'm planning to travel by air to reach this beautiful destination. I obtained invaluable insights from the island's official...

  • Sustainable tourism is a significant challenge in Uganda. Deforestation is rampant and encroachment on natural ecological areas is unstoppable. Although Uganda sells a large number of gorilla viewing permits, the revenues often end up in the hands of political leaders. The primary mode of transportation is by road. The environmental impact is considerable and...

  • As a search engine expert, I've noticed that established hotels and popular travel destinations are more likely to be discovered online compared to other beautiful places. In Fort Portal, my hometown, there are at least 30 crater lakes, the Mountains of the Moon, and two national parks. Unfortunately, due to the dominance of larger destinations, it's unlikely...

  • I've got a grasp of the most common reasons why organizations budget.

  • In the HR practice it's quite common for employees to set a little lower targets easy to achieve which is why management tends to get involved. My favor goes to top bottom.

  • In Uganda we have Airtel a telecom company. Its messaging is quite consistent across channels.

  • The key message for me is the consistency that comes with integrated campaigns. This consistency across different digital Marketing channels can be memorable in the minds of your audience.

  • Some brands use pay per click and once the customer has visited the website, they'll continue to interact on email. The same applies to social media ads

  • Digital Marketing is all about planning so that you're ready and organized to better use the different platforms effectively. A strategy is key.

  • I've learnt something mostly with being creative and to avoid opting out.

  • I want to discover an affordable mailing tool that's not complex and gives good analytics with email marketing.

  • They can post images of Halloween memories & inform the audience about new innovative costumes available.

  • I think Facebook would do! This is a B2C business and Facebook being a social networking where you meet individual buyers it's a place to go.

  • I'm mostly interested in the calendar. I've seen a few but may be I'll get a comprehensive one.

  • Google Analytics and Hotjar are very good tools. I've liked how they provide real-time insights.

  • SEO is a battlefield. You can only win in you continue to work hard.

  • This is the core of what I'm looking for all along.

  • With banner advertising, the brand can place beautiful designer ads on the 3rd party websites with call to action & landing page.

For content marketing, the brand can give tips on closet management, designer colour...

  • For now I've been looking at impressions and clicks.

  • I think research is important to discover what your audience is looking for online and you write about it.

  • I've tried to start content design especially using industry relevant guides and free information. I'm always open to learning and feedback. Since we develop business plans for clients, I wrote an article found here: https://heconsulting.us/how-to-write-a-business-plan/

  • I do write about relevant industry topics which we post to our website & I'm part of the content design team. I just want to get better at content marketing.

  • The article by Neil Patel is really a nice one. I've ever run a PPC Ad but now I know how best to set up my next one.

  • I have used it before but never got conversations. I want to learn how best this works.

  • While many banners I've seen are quite evasive, it's one nice strategy if used appropriately.

  • I want to learn the best place where banner advertising can work best.

  • It is a multichannel kind of marketing where you can easily choose what works for you.

  • I'm here to add to my skills set in digital marketing.

  • Two people are happy with the topic I selected but one did not. The supervisor has since modified it. I'm here to make sure that I have the right tools because my supervisor seems more of a reader and ahead of me on my own area of study.

  • I use Google Keep. It is one of those apps which automatically safe what you have typed.

  • Yes building on the already existing body of knowledge but most importantly from scholars.

  • Robert Mwesige made a comment

I have learned that a research project should be dependent on the schedule by visualizing the deadline. I have got a question: Who exactly is a scholar?

  • Wonderful summary of the activities.

  • I have completed the checklist and am ready to roll.

  • I'll gain research skills for commercial research assignments and more importantly fullfil the requirements for my master's degree.

    Implications of my research
Will guide on job analysis, design & competence profiling and policy formulation on virtual management.

    Research Objective

  • I'm finding difficulty with writing a problem statement & the theoretical background of some concepts.

  • From the first picture people are gathered and seem to be unhappy about something. In terms of ethnicity, they're mostly white. The second picture has cheers! It has some mix with black people. In the third they're more formal and attentive.

  • I will need to know how supervisors manage virtual teams and if this has any implications on performance. I'll use both questionnaire & face-to-face interview.

  • With the right type of jobs, and good virtual management, you can have virtual team effectiveness

  • This is a very good piece of lesson. I've written my research questions. Since mine is the real Thesis, I'll be mostly sharing insights but posting most of the work to my supervisor.

  • From the time I started this course I've since changed my topic of focus. I'm now seeking to pursue another objective: To arrive at a better understanding of the extent to which virtual management, and job nature influence the perceived effectiveness of virtual teams.

  • Politically, the government has quite a rough hand to the technologies that would facilitate virtual teams. For example Facebook is banned yet teams use features that can help the perceived virtual teams effectiveness.

Economically, there's still alot to improve. Tax policies in Uganda have it that even Facebook Ads attract VAT.

    Socially, the people are...

  • Be as clear as possible because it is the email that will represent you to your colleagues. If it is not clear, it may not prompt any action.

  • Improvement done ✅

  • I love the clarity in the second email because it resonates around facts, clear and logical explanation and appeals to the emotional response while making a decision.

  • This really adds to my skills in writing. I'm doing a research and one of the challenges I've had so far is about clarity of some ideas in the proposal. I can only be sure that after here, I might have a little bit of a smother road.

  • What is the key to a successful business?

Many people start businesses but unfortunately the majority don't make it to the 5th birthday. This is because they enter business as a way of making money instead of passion or preparedness.

Business success depends on whether the right pain in society has been well assessed and the business is addressing that...

  • I'm doing my Master's Degree and it's time I identity a management issue to investigate. Can't wait to be guided on how!

  • When I first convinced my colleague to change from employment and start our own company in 2016, it seemed to him like an impossibility, and even asked if we could do it 3 years later. It is until I listened to his fears of uncertainty that I explained how we could do it and the possible safeguards against failure. He understood and is now an advocate for...

  • Anna could have looked at both the internal and external stakeholders because, in her approach, she seemed more concerned with external clients forgetting that inside the organization, there are people who may or may not be happy with the changes she intended to spearhead.

  • This is a group of very educated men & women. I look forward to learning from the best.

  • I have seen one where the staff satisfaction survey was intended to capture data on employee engagement. Later, quite a number of changes were adopted including a salary review.

  • Robert Mwesige made a comment

I want to have completed my master's degree in HR in the next two years. The core challenge might be finances. I need support with some tasks in order to create personal time slots for learning.

  • This is a very nice piece of advice that can help us to improve the way we set targets and conduct performance appraisal meetings.

  • I look forward to getting more insights about the HRM practice.

  • It is indeed appropriate for a formal process to be followed. It will make things better & transparent.

  • In the first scenario HR is seen taking things for granted. This shouldn't be the case in future because peoples' opinions on social media should be taken seriously because they reflect the exact behavior of the individual.

In the second scenario, the focus was much more placed on cost cutting thus neglecting the people aspects. The terms of reference...
