The course covered a number of key areas in understanding ESG. It looked at the role played by the UN and the annual COPs that are held covering climate change and also biodiversity. It explored the role that taxonomies play in providing a more consistent and common language and provided explanations for what the E, the S and the G stand for. As Scope 3 Greenhouse Gas emissions become more important, this course provided details of what Scope 3 and how if differs from the others.

- Understand the background to the annual meetings of the Conference of the Parties (COPs) and developments resulting from key meetings and agreements.
- Learn what actions the UN, multilateral agencies and other organisations are undertaking with regards to ESG.
- Master ESG and its key components.
