Improve your project management skills as you master Agile methodology and learn how to use Jira effectively.

A businesswoman smiles as she taps on her iPad.

Delve into the Agile methodology

Companies use different ways to organise their projects, and the type of methodology they use determines the tool that is best suited for their needs. Jira is an issue tracking and project management tool that is highly configurable and flexible, which allows it to be used in a wide variety of processes.

On this two-week course, you’ll gain a clear understanding of Jira and the best way to use it for effective project management in teams.

Learning Jira also requires learning some Agile concepts, as Jira is often used for Agile project management. Therefore, you’ll also explore the basics of Agile methodology to help you get started with Jira.

Develop your project management skills

To help hone your project management skills, you’ll explore the difference between a team-managed project and a company-managed project.

You’ll learn how to use and navigate both, as you explore the benefits and drawbacks of each to understand which is best suited to your needs.

Learn how to use a Scrum board

You’ll delve into the uses of a Scrum board, as you learn how to create and customise a new board and develop a Scrum Agile board.

You’ll also explore a Kanban Agile board to understand how to create issues, filters, and use dashboards.

With this knowledge, you’ll learn how to create reports in Jira and bulk edit issues to help aid your project management.

Develop key skills for Jira project management

There are different versions of Jira available, but the core concepts are applicable across these versions. On the course, you’ll be using a non-premium version of Jira Software on Cloud, the flagship version of Jira.

By the end, you’ll have the knowledge and skills to use Jira and Agile methodology to improve your project management.
