During this course you will have the opportunity to consider the leaders role in key aspects of the management of culture, such as having difficult conversations, appointing and inducting new staff, managing behaviour and dealing with difficult parents.

You will also have the chance to explore research into the effects culture can have on the morale and motivation of staff, pupils and parents.

  • Understand what the research on the effects of school culture tells us about the morale and motivation of staff, pupils and parents
  • Apply the lessons learned about the need for consonance in case studies dealing with a capability meeting and dealing with difficult parents
