  • Week 1

    Precision Medicine, AI, and the Future of Personalized Health Care

    • Definition of Precision Medicine and Basic of AI

      Dr. Su will briefly explain the basics of precision medicine and the scope of AI and its industrial applications. What can the combination of precision medicine and artificial intelligence do for the future of healthcare?

    • Machine Learning in Biomedicine

      We will discuss topics including the definition of personalized medicine, the process of machine learning in translational Medicine, and applications of ML in medical field.

  • Week 2

    Co-Creation Platform for Smart Healthcare at Taiwan Integration Biotechnology Industrial Center

    • The Biomedical Industries and the Advantages in Taiwan

      We will use Taiwan as an example to discuss the development of biomedical industry.

    • Global Strategy on Digital Health

      What is the health policy toward digital healthcare systems around the world? What is the WHO's strategy for digital health? We will have a look at the digital health system.

  • Week 3

    Technologies for Healthcare in a Super-aged Society

    • Needs Assessment: Understand Elderly

      In this session, we will get to know the needs of elders and how technologies could improve people’s lives.

    • Technologies for Elders

      We will discuss how smart healthcare system can help seniors to improve life quality, and the benefits of technology for seniors.

  • Week 4

    Current Trends for Regeneration Medicine

    • Introduction to Core Technologies of Regenerative Medicine

      Dr Shen will give an overview of regeneration medicine, and the development roadmap of regenerative medicine products.

    • Industrial Standards for Regeneration Medicine

      Any new medical development requires a procedure to process. Dr Shen will explain the industrial standards for regeneration medicine development.

    • Industrial Development of Regeneration Medicine

      Dr Shen will explain the automatic cell production system, stem cell therapy, and biomaterial for tissue repair.

  • Week 5

    Targeted Therapy: The Trends and Its Technology

    • Introduction to Targeted Therapy

      What is targeted therapy? We will explore the basics of targeted therapy first, how this technique can treat cancer.

    • New Trends of Targeted Therapy

      Dr Maggie Lu will introduce the advanced technology in targeted therapy from ITRI.

    • Assessment Time
