    • To join this Postgraduate Certificate, you should have a minimum of a 2:2 Honours degree in a relevant discipline.
    • You will need to submit a personal statement,detailing your reasons for applying for the degree programme.

    English language requirements

    International students will need to provide evidence of one of the following English language proficiency scores:

    • IELTS: 6.5 overall and no less than 6 in any section
    • TOEFL: 90 with minimum scores of 21 for writing,listening, reading and speaking. MyBest scores are not accepted
    • PTE: 67 with no less than 64 in all communicative skills
    • LanguageCert International ESOL SELT: B2 Communicator with minimum 39 in speaking, writing, listening, reading.
    • INTO Pre-sessional English: 65 and no less than 60 in any sub-section

    The degree covers topics like climate change, air pollution, and social inequalities, with the option of specialising in one of three key areas: Global Health, Antimicrobial Resistance, and Pandemics.

    By the end of the degree, you will:

    • Understand the intricate relationships between contemporary global human health and the environment.
    • Be able to critically analyse evidence from a range of qualitative and quantitative sources.
    • Use and evaluate key quantitative and qualitative research methods.
    • Have a network of researchers, professionals, and practitioners working in areas relating to health and/or the environment.
    • Be well placed to move into a range of rapidly developing professions in environment and human health.
