About

MSQ is a leading tech and data-led marketing group, helping brands earn emotional capital to attract, convert, retain and grow valuable customers. They’re one of the world’s fastest growing marketing groups, offering flexibility, choice and transparency to clients. Their clients range from big global businesses like Unilever, Stellantis, Vodafone, Mondelez, BP and Elanco, to local favourites such as Fortnum & Mason, Buzz Bingo, Chiltern Railways, Translink and the Royal Mail.

MSQ’s incorporates 9 agencies across the communications mix, each one of them a leader in their respective field. These agencies are Freemavens (research & insights), Holmes & Marchant (branding & design), MBAstack (customer acquisition and engagement), MMT Digital (Web & Digital Product Development), Smarts (PR and content), Stein IAS (B2B marketing), The Gate (creative and media), Walk-In Media (full-service media) and twentysix (full-service digital). Clients can work with an MSQ agency on an individual basis, or with a joined-up team designed specifically around their needs.

Almost 800 people work at MSQ across 12 global offices. Unique to an international group of our scale and reach, more than 70 senior employees are shareholders in the group. Recent award-winning work includes ‘Nobody is Normal’, a campaign for Childline that won 5 Cannes Lions, ‘Safeport’ for Trelleborg, which was named one of the most effective B2B marketing campaigns of the year, and ‘Got 5?’, an award-winning campaign for The Electoral Commission that encouraged more UK citizens to register to vote in general and local elections.

In 2020 MSQ became one of the first marketing groups in the world to be Carbon Negative. That means, across all 12 international offices, they offset more CO2 than we generate.

Then, in 2021, they announced further plans to significantly reduce our footprint between now and 2024, with an overall target to reduce emissions per head by more than 50%, relative to 2019 (pre-COVID) levels.

To achieve this goal, they have established a global MSQ Sustainability Council, led by a dedicated Chief Sustainability Officer. All staff on the Council – at least one employee from every MSQ office – have attended an intensive BIMA Sustainability Programme and their CSO is the co-Chair of BIMA’s Sustainability Council, allowing them to share their learnings with other agencies and remain at the forefront of all industry innovations.
