has completed the following course:
Ageing and The Brain: The Impact of Neurodegenerative Diseases
Complutense University of Madrid
This online course covered several concepts in the area of Neuroscience, related to the aging of the brain and different neurodegenerative diseases. It presented the main elements of the Central Nervous System, and what types of cells are affected by different diseases, how normal aging impacts on the brain, and how to differentiate the main symptoms, types, forms of diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's diseases, multiple sclerosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.

Syllabus
- Basic concepts about aging and diseases, collecting information about neurodegenerative disorders and their impact on our society.
- Normal aging, and its impact on the brain compared with a pathological disorder.
- Organization of the nervous system, focusing on the main structures, types of cells and the way to transmit information.
- Alzheimer´s disease, the most common neurodegenerative disorder. Knowing your symptoms as dementia and the possible treatments available.
