Certificate of Achievement
has completed the following course:
Monitoring Atmospheric Composition
EUMETSAT and Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS)
This course looked at practical examples of using atmospheric data – in real-world case-studies and in a range of areas of policy and decision-making – and explored emerging technologies and trends. It explored the role of EUMETSAT, and other satellite data providers, and the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), focusing on the applications of its data for users and its wider benefits to society. The course was run by EUMETSAT and CAMS/ECMWF in support of the Copernicus Programme.
5 weeks, 3 hours per week
Dr Rosemary Munro
Atmospheric Composition Competence Area Manager
EUMETSAT
Dr Mark Parrington
Senior Scientist at ECMWF
Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS)
Transcript
Learning outcomes
- Explore how we observe and measure the atmosphere with satellites, ground-based and other forms of in-situ measurements
- Understand the importance of satellite observations and other forms of measurements for atmospheric monitoring
