Discover the power of authenticity and strategic thinking in leadership.

Being true to yourself and focusing on your team are two of the most important qualities in a successful leader. On this four-week course from the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT), you’ll learn the value of listening and authenticity in leadership.

Building on practical case studies, you’ll review different leadership definitions and styles, determining which suit you and your organisation.

Explore the potential of strengths-based leadership

In Week 2 of the course, you’ll analyse what it means to take a strengths-based approach to leadership.

You’ll learn how to recognise your strengths, build self-belief, and harness your skills to lead more effectively.

Understand the importance of diversity and inclusion

Once you’ve understood how to capitalise on your own strengths, you’ll discover the many and varied talents within your team and how best to use them.

You’ll consider the importance of diversity and inclusion in leadership, and investigate ways of eliminating unconscious bias.

Dig deeper into strategic leadership

Strategic leaders are able to look to the future, give constructive feedback, and create the certainty their team needs to thrive. In the final week of the course, you’ll gain practical tips to help you empower your colleagues and strategise for your organisation.

With the help of experts at the Association of Chartered Treasurers, you’ll build up a toolkit of skills to enhance your approach to leadership.
