This course has been funded through MOOCAP (MOOC Accessibility Partnership) by the ERASMUS+ grant program of the European Union under grant no. 2014-1-DE01-KA203-000679. The MOOCAP Coordinator is Prof Dr Gottfried Zimmermann, Stuttgart Media University (HdM). MOOCAP has eight partners from across Europe:
Dublin Institute of Technology, HdM Stuttgart, Høgskolen i Oslo og Akershus, Johannes Kepler Universität Linz, Technische Universität Dresden, Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου (University of the Aegean), Université Paris 8 Vincennes Saint-Denis and the University of Southampton.
Coming in the Autumn, also on FutureLearn, is our course which was been created by all of the partners ‘Digital Accessibility: Enabling Participation in the Information Society’ With a better understanding of users’ needs, technologies can be developed to be accessible & provide a more inclusive environment.
The MOOCAP partners have created further specialist courses describing in more detail aspects of digital accessibility, user-centred design and inclusion. These will run at various times throughout the year. Further details about these courses are available on the MOOCAP website.
This course was created by Professor Mike Wald, E.A. Draffan and Dr Abi James, Web & Internet Science Research Group, ECS, University of Southampton with production support from Kate Dickens and Manuel León and media production by Sofy Bazzini from the Digital Learning team, University of Southampton.
