What makes a good leader?

Leadership as an academic field is incredibly wide, often crossing borders into neighbouring fields such as psychology, politics, organisation theory, sociology, and management studies. This short course provides an overview of the field of leadership theory and a toolkit to help you develop into an effective leader.

You’ll have the opportunity to explore three of the key elements of leadership – people, goals and communication – and how they relate to one another. You will also consider the relationships between leadership and management, followership, and power.
