Develop your understanding of DAOs with RMIT University
DAOs (Decentralised Autonomous Organisations) emerge when people come together with a common purpose to coordinate using blockchain technology. They are an entirely new kind of organisational structure.
This four-week course from RMIT University will help you gain a solid understanding of the fascinating world of DAOs.
From the blockchain technology that supports them to DAO functions and how you can get involved, you’ll develop your knowledge of this emerging, disruptive, and exciting technology.
Through real-world examples, you’ll explore DAOs’ capacity to disrupt organisations across all disciplines and change how we think about collective action.
Unpack the types of DAO tools
To understand how DAOs start, you’ll be supported through the tools used to create and interact with them.
You’ll also learn how to communicate with others about DAOs to help you become confident in interacting and working with this new type of governance structure.
Explore the role of DAOs in the digital economy
Next, you’ll discover the ‘why’ behind DAOs. You’ll unpack their importance, what they can do, and their role in the digital economy.
By delving into different purposes of DAOs such as investment, collector, and protocol management, you’ll be able to find the one that interests you.
Discover the DAO community
Finally, you’ll be introduced to the DAO community. You’ll discover not only how you can become part of one but also how you can build a good DAO community.
By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills to confidently, safely, and effectively enter the world of DAOs.
