In the previous short courses, you have explored how the emergence of globalisation has created significant shifts in the global business environment, resulting in opportunities, risks, and challenges. One of the most notable features of the global business environment has been the rapid and accelerated growth in the size and significance of Multinational Corporations (MNCs). The growth of MNCs is a reflection of the internationalisation strategies many companies have pursued to exploit the opportunities provided by the global business environment.

This short course seeks to explore some of these dynamic factors that will help you understand how firms select new markets to internationalise, taking into account their underlying risks and challenges. Building on your learning from the previous two short courses, by now, you should have a company in mind and an idea of potential countries into which your selected company is looking to internationalise.

In this short course, you will take your case study forward by studying how to competitively analyse foreign markets, leading to the best market selection for your chosen company.
