This course aims to provide you with an introduction to your final research project.
It aims to provide a mechanism to support the scoping of your research, and you will have the opportunity to reinforce your knowledge of research design and methods in order to ensure their effective application to your business area of interest.

What will you achieve?
By the end of the course, you‘ll be able to...
- Identify and justify a complex research question or business issue of relevance to your programme of study
- Evaluate the key concepts involved in the research project
- Identify and apply appropriate theories to form a coherent research proposal, including structured and focused research objectives appropriate for study at Postgraduate level
- Synthesise, analyse and review the relevant literature in your research project
- Evaluate and utilise appropriate research methodologies and methods
- Demonstrate the principles of effective and ethical research design
- Evaluate, analyse and interpret the data or information obtained
- Synthesise realistic and appropriate conclusions and recommendations, including identifying recommendations for future policy and practice
Who is the course for?
This course is the dissertation module for students of MSc International Business Management.

What software or tools do you need?
You will learn how to use statistics software, such as SPSS, and qualitative data analysis software, such as NVivo, which are freely available to Coventry University students.
