Explore the relationship between states and MNCs in the automobile industry

This course will give you the opportunity to examine the automobile industry, which is dominated by a few large firms who make an enormous economic contribution to national and global business environments. These companies face a number of threats and challenges, not least from the increasingly intrusive regulatory demands of states, dwindling demand and technological disruption.

You will have the chance to explore the various strategies that firms employ to manage and survive these pressures, which largely revolve around scaling up in order to share and spread increasing costs of production.
